Kato will make a scale model of the EH500 the 3rd , which is currently operated as a main locomotive of JR Freight, in the latest color scheme.
EH500 is an AC/DC Electric Locomotive with two combined bodies and 8 wheel axels that is in service to draw freight trains in the section of Kammon tunnel as well as in metropolitan and east-northern areas. As the GPS antenna has become unnecessary thanks to the drivers support system introduced in 2008, GPS antenna is removed. JRF sign shown on the sides of locomotives owned by JR Freight is eliminated.
